DSCNW New Family Connect Group
We’re excited to launch a New Family Connect Group – a welcoming space for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to come together, build friendships, and find community.
This group is designed for anyone who is new to DSCNW or simply looking for a fresh way to connect. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been part of the Down syndrome community for years, you are welcome here.
Each gathering will include relaxed time to connect, fun activities, and opportunities to share experiences, encouragement, and resources. Kids, teens, adults, siblings, parents, and caregivers all have a place in this group.
Our goal is simple: to create a supportive, joyful space where families can connect, feel understood, and grow together.
This group is run by Jessica Morris, parent of Orion (5 years old with Down syndrome).
📅 First Meeting: Monday, July 13th
📍 Location: Joya, 1016 N Superior Street, Spokane
🕒 Time: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
🧦 A Note About Socks: The mat area at Joya is a no-shoes zone, so please bring or wear your craziest, most colorful socks! We can’t wait to see everyone’s fun sock style.
Come as you are – there’s a place for you here.
